The entire process, while challenging, was made easier and more effective with your help. From the house preparation to pricing to marketing, through showing the house and the sale negotiation, you and your team were there, offering support and helpful advice. Ultimately, you made the difference in getting the deal done. In the beginning, you discussed what was needed to get the house ready for sale and connected us with a contractor, who worked with us to prep the house. Your team then aggressively marketed the house through an outstanding video, as well as advertising constantly in local papers and magazines, securing several covers in luxury home magazines. You ensured that only "real" buyers came to look at the property. Along the way, you set realistic expectations for us. Given the uniqueness of our property and our sale price, you correctly counseled us that the right buyer would need to appreciate all of the qualities of our home, the house itself, of course, but also the extensive grounds, the guest house, and wine room, as well as the vineyard. When the eventual buyer showed interest, your skills really shined. When the first offer came in much lower than we had hoped, you told us that we were at the beginning of a process. We went back and forth a few times and you kept them engaged. Finally, we had a face-to-face with the buyer, which is not typical. You were there with us, strategizing before the meeting. During the meeting, you were very effective in guiding the negotiations and countering several of their arguments. At one point you pulled us out of the meeting to discuss where we were to make sure we were all on the same page. In the end, we sold for the price we wanted, to a buyer with a family who loved everything about the house and grounds. This had been our goal all along. "We've worked with many real estate agents over the last few years and every time we ended up getting frustrated as the incentives are completely misaligned. When buying a house, we found ourselves doing all of the work on finding properties on Zillow, Redfin, and the likes, and once we "expressed" some interest to our agent, they generally tried to "encourage" us to buy the property and stretch beyond the price ranges we set. Gary Campi and his team are not like that. We've had the pleasure of working with Team Campi to buy our house at a time when the market was definitely a seller's market. We wanted to find something so at times we were getting frustrated as there was no inventory, so whenever we found something we thought was not too far from what we were looking for, we reached out to Gary and his answer was "I saw that house, and for X, Y, Z reason I don't think it is the right house for you given what you told me you were looking for". Selling a home is never easy, especially one that is typical with very few comparables to support the value and price. Our house sits on a property that is 1+ acres in the country club area and was built for our specific needs, which is not grandiose in unnecessary square footage but with quality and attention to detail. Our property is also not typical in that we invested a tremendous amount of money in landscaping as we love to entertain and host large outdoor parties.
